SEADOO XP
BRP made sea doo XP from 1989 to 2004. It gained more importance as it was first high version of runabout. The sea doo that were made in 1991 was modified form of 1988 model, with upgraded engine. The jet pump was made by stainless steel. The hull, pump and seats were given a purple color and the handles were green.

Another feature of sea doo XP is dual mirror and a tachometer was attached on the top. It was considered as the fastest sea doo at that time. Due to upgrading of engine and pump the speed limit was reached up to 44 to 46 mph.

The second generation of sea doo XP was from 1993 to 1996. In 1993, the sea doo was upgraded to 650 cc with dual carburetor. The hull, seat and pump were now green and the handles were in red color. In 1995, the engine was further upgraded with 720 cc. The graphics theme was changed from green and red to yellow and purple. A new XP 800 was launched in 1995. This model consisted of engine of 110hp.
The third generation was brought in 1997. All models of this generation were lean-style. The graphical theme was yellow and black. The engine was of 110hp and 782cc. The weight of this model was 90lb greater then the previous. The problem of greater weight was solved and a new lighter model was launched in 1998. In 2000, only colors were changed. In 2001, the graphical theme was again changed with a silver top. From 2003 and 2004, the tag limited was removed and DI was added.
