How hasn’t heard of sea doo jet ski? No wonder that it was a milestone for fun lovers.
‘Jet ski’ was initially used for the private watercrafts that were first made by Kawasaki. The inventor of this sea doo Jet Ski was Clayton Jacobson, who was a banker and was crazy about bikes. He transformed his bike into a water craft. He designed it just as an indoor motor to move jet pump made up of aluminum and had a handle.

As this invention gained a lot of popularity, it was also produced by many other companies like Yamaha, bombardier etc. The craft that was made by Yamaha was named as wave runner but later it was also known as PWC.
The first PWC was made in 1976 and was named as JS-400-A, having 400 cc and 2 stroke engine. It was designed for one person. In 1989, the previous PWC was modified for two people and was designed in a lean style. It became faster with 650cc engine and easier to handle. The next model was even better for two people with “sit down” style. In 1991, Jacob earned around $3 billions. In 1992, the Kawasaki PWC was even more upgraded. In 2003, they started using 4 stroke engines that were a bit sportier and easier to handle.

The Jet Ski is commonly used for riding, racing and free styling. The free styling competition was officially started in 1970s. In free styling, the rider commonly use light crafts that is easy to handle and he can perform different tricks while in racing 10-20 riders move on their tracks. In free riding the rider uses the water waves for the jumps and it is the extreme form of Jet Ski.
